Editorial Policy

Useful software coverage starts with clear questions and honest evidence.

This policy explains how Scoutvero approaches software reviews, comparisons and practical guidance for service businesses.

Choosing products and topics

We select topics around the decisions and workflows readers face: handling inquiries, booking work, managing customers and running daily operations. Relevance, practical usefulness and the evidence available guide coverage. Popularity or affiliate availability alone is not a recommendation.

Research and hands-on testing

Research-based coverage and first-hand evaluation serve different purposes. We identify which information comes from documentation or other sources and which findings come from our own use of a product. We explain the scope of testing and material limitations rather than imply that every feature was tested.

Our testing methodology sets out the approach, including the requirements for the Verofied designation.

Vendor information and fact checking

Vendor documentation can help establish features, pricing, plan restrictions and supported integrations. We check important details against relevant sources and seek clarification where information is unclear. A vendor statement or demonstration is not treated as proof of an outcome we have not observed.

Corrections and updates

Software changes. When a material error or outdated detail is identified, we review the evidence and correct or update the coverage as appropriate. Significant changes should be explained, including whether they involve new testing or updated research. Readers should be able to understand the basis and timing of the information they use.

For corrections or editorial inquiries, email hello@scoutvero.com. Please include the article URL and the detail you would like us to review.

Affiliate relationships

Some links may earn Scoutvero a commission. Affiliate relationships do not guarantee coverage or a positive conclusion, and commercial relationships must not determine testing criteria or editorial conclusions. Relevant disclosures should be clear and placed where readers can understand the relationship. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Sponsored content

If sponsored content is published, it will be clearly labelled. Readers should be able to distinguish paid placements from independent editorial coverage. Sponsorship does not turn a vendor claim into a verified test result.

No fabricated evidence

We do not invent ratings, test outcomes, reviews, testimonials or user experiences. When evidence is limited or a product has not been tested, the coverage should make that clear.
